Welcome to Prado do Golf & Prado Villas – We are Pet Friendly!
We know that a holiday isn’t complete without the whole family, which is why your well-behaved pets are more than welcome at our resorts. To ensure a harmonious stay for you, your pet, and our other guests, please take a moment to review our Pet Etiquette guide:
1. Bookings & Fees
Notification: The presence of a pet must be communicated at the time of booking or, at the latest, during check-in.
- Breed Policy: For safety reasons and in compliance with Portuguese legislation (Decree-Law no. 315/2009), pets belonging to breeds legally classified as potentially dangerous or prohibited in Portugal or other countries are not accepted. It is the pet owner’s responsibility to ensure their animal’s breed is legally accepted before making a reservation.
Costs: A pet supplement of 50€ per pet (maximum of 2) applies per stay.
Security Deposit: A damage deposit of 250€ is required. This will be fully refunded following an inspection, provided there is no material damage to the property.
2. On-Site Conduct & Supervision
Constant Companionship: For the safety and comfort of your pet, they must never be left alone in the villa without the owner present.
Public Areas: The use of a leash is compulsory in all public and communal areas of the resort.
Pool Area: For hygiene and safety, pets are strictly prohibited from entering the swimming pool area or the water.
Waste Management: Owners are responsible for immediately cleaning up after their pets in all interior and exterior perimeters of the resort.
3. Peace & Quiet
Tranquility: Owners must ensure their pets are kept in proper hygienic conditions and do not disturb the peace and tranquility of other guests.
Furniture & Bedding: We kindly ask that pets do not sit or lie on the furniture or beds.
- Housekeeping: Our team wants to keep your villa sparkling! If your pet is in the villa during cleaning hours, please ensure you are present or contact Reception to reschedule a time that works for everyone.
4. Liability & Safety
Damages: The owner or caretaker is fully responsible for any material or personal damage caused by the animal.
Behavioral Standards: To ensure a safe environment, Prado do Golf & Prado Villas reserves the right to request the immediate departure of any animal displaying dangerous or unacceptable behavior (including biting, scratching, excessive barking, or apparent illness). In such cases, no refund will be provided for the remaining days of the pet’s or owner’s stay.
- Departure: Before you head home, please schedule a brief inspection with our team so we can clear your damage deposit for return.
